Opened as a country squash club in 2009, starting from 2011 Zanzibara welcomes you also as a campsite. Family owned and operated, Zanzibara is a small campsite just 16 km from Riga. Personal attitude and no crowds right on your … way travelling Via Baltica. Surrounded by a green countryside on a Daugava-Misa canal bank, but close enough to a small town Kekava making shops, restourants and public transport to Riga reachable by a good walk. In Zanzibara You will find 20 pitches for campers / tents as well as 3 romantic bungalows floating on the water, each with it s own patio. In 2015 we finished campsite communal area with showers, WC, fully equipped kitchen and washing machine.There is also chill out zone with hammocks, trampoline, sandbox. A big choice of entertainment on site: swimming, canoe boats, squash, croquet, table tennis, playground for kids, rabbits. We welcome individual travelers, families, squash fans, small groups. Dogs on leads only (please note, we have rabbits running around free). We speak fluent English, Russian and Latvian and some basic German.

We are located on Via Baltica near crossroads of A5 and A7 (Riga ringroad and highway Riga-Bauska) only 16 km from Riga. In a Kekava roundabout which is crossroads of A7 and A5, turn to Jurmala and after 2,7 km … turn right to Kekava (gravel road). Look for Zanzibara sign after 300 m on a right hand. Here you are!
